Children – Lindsay, currently 31 yrs. old and married to Matt Harm and Lane currently 29 yrs. old, married to Dani Busboom. One grandson, Landyn Harm, age 20 months. Doug has been a member of the Knights of Columbus since April of 1993 and a 4 th degree Sir Knight since 1995. Prior to his career with the Knights of Columbus: Doug co-authored the book “Helping Teens Unmask Sexual Con Games” and an article published in the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Journal called “The Predictive Validity of the Suicide Probability Scale among Adolescents in Group Home Treatment” during his work at Boys Town, a treatment center in Omaha, NE. Doug has been a well-known presenter in the area of youth suicide. He began working for the Knights in 2003 as a field agent. Doug has finished in the top 10 three different times. He has been a member of the Supreme Knights Club every year and is currently a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table. Nebraska KC Agent of the Year in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Nebraska’s Fraternal Insurance Agent of the Year, 2007-2008. F.I.C. of the Year for the Knights of Columbus, 2007. Selected by Supreme to represent all field agents at the General Agent annual meeting in 2006 and LIMRA Distribution Conference in 2007, and General Agent annual meeting in 2009.
