ONLINE FACILITATOR INFORMATION SHEET
To be provided to the facilitator by Instructor of Record
Eligibility: To be eligible for payment, a facilitator must have: 1) completed Ohio University’s online
facilitator training course before the term begins, or 2) served as a facilitator in an online OHIO course
prior to December 2013. The academic unit shall determine academic requirements; a minimum of a
master’s degree in a field related to the assigned course is recommended.
Payment: Payment to the facilitator will be calculated at $94 per student assigned, as designated on the
Online Facilitator Form. An increase or decrease in the number of students enrolled, as of the close of
day 3 of the term, will result in a proportional adjustment of assignment across all facilitators in the
course. If enrollment does not meet the minimum required enrollment as of two weeks before the start of
the course, a facilitator may not be required to provide services and the instructor should notify the
facilitator and eLearning OHIO of such. Request for payment for services will be initiated by eLearning
OHIO after the third day of the term, using Ohio University’s regular payroll systems and processes.
Expense for this payment shall be charged to the course listed above.

following terms.
