THE CONSERVATION OF HISTORIC INTERIORS Regency Interiors From: ‘Mrs Hurst Dancing ..... 1812 - 1823’ by Diana Sperling Corpus Christi College, Cambridge (The McCrum Lecture Theatre) Friday 28th March 2014 The Sixth Annual Cambridge Conference of the Historic Interiors Section of ICON will continue the section’s chronological survey with an examination of the distinctive and often exotic interiors of the Regency Period (1795 – 1837). Papers will be presented by a range of multi-disciplinary speakers who will consider the stylistic and technical developments of wall papers, furniture, frames, decorative surfaces and textiles during this period with reference to recent research and conservation projects. The one-day conference entitled Regency Interiors will be held at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, on Friday 28th March 2014. The day includes lunch at Corpus Christi College and visits to selected Regency interiors in Cambridge. After the conference delegates wishing to join the supper party to continue the conviviality, are invited to enjoy a glass of prosecco as they taken by punt to a local Italian restaurant. This year we are reducing the conference fee to enable more participants to attend. The conference fee, including lunch, is £65.00 for members and £85.00 for non-members (students £35.00). The evening, including punt, prosecco and pasta, will cost £30.00.
