A car screeches to a halt in front of a Motel (with Bates Motel sign). There is a
daunting looking old house in the distance with a winding pathway, which leads
to the Motel.
A woman gets out of the car and walks to the entrance of the Motel and looks up
at the house, which has its lights on inside.
Whilst she does this we hear some undecipherable babbling and angry
complaining from an old woman.
Then a young man shouts:
YOUNG MAN
Shut up! SHUT UP!
He opens the door and it slams, then he runs down the pathway until he reaches
the woman, he has a tray with a jug and some food on it.
YOUNG MAN
D’ya like a room?
YOUNG LADY
Yes.
YOUNG MAN
Food?
YOUNG LADY
Yes.
Whilst they talk thought bubbles appear above both of the characters. In the
Man’s thought bubble appears an animation of a dead bird having material
stuffed up its behind as he is interested in taxidermy. The Lady’s thought bubble
is of an image of her behind prison bars looking sad; she has a worrying
premonition on her mind.
