Through your advertisement in The County Press I learned of your recent opening of
Obstetric and Gynecologic Sonographer. I am very interested and I believe that my
education, skills, and job opportunities are appropriate for this position.
I recently received my Bachelor's degree in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at
Ferris State University. During the course of this program I participated in many hands-on
activities that provided me with a variety of skills needed for this career field. For example,
was given the skill to work the advanced equipment and identify parts in OB/GYN imaging
labs. During these labs we worked in groups to develop teamwork skills which are very
valuable in the workplace.
My experience also includes working with patients at an off-campus center. At the clinic I
was given the opportunity to use my communication, teamwork and technology skills while
working one-on-one with clients. I worked independently and in groups to operate highly
technical equipment to produce sonographic images.
I believe that my combination of education and sonography training is an excellent match
for the Obstetric and Gynecological Sonographer Position you described. Thank you very
