Rosa Scott PTO Positions and Committees
President -- Oversees the tasks of PTO
Vice-President - Academic Affairs -- Assists PTO President and coordinates birthday
lunches for teachers
Vice-President - Membership -- Assists the PTO President, directs membership drive,
passes out schedules in summer and publishes school directory
Treasurer/Assistant Treasurer -- Oversees finances of PTO
Secretary -- Records information/minutes of PTO
Communications -- Works with faculty and PTO to provide information via school newsletters
and website throughout the school year
Fundraising -- Coordinates annual fundraiser for the school year
Homecoming –
Homecoming Dance (teachers chaperone) -- Works with teachers to organize,
decorate and provide food for dance
Homecoming Float -- Coordinates the building of 9th grade float for parade
Hospitality -- Works with VP of Academic Affairs to oversee classes during teacher birthday
lunches
Membership -- Works with VP of Membership on the membership drive, early schedule pass
out dates and school directory
Proctoring -- Coordinates volunteers for state testing
Publicity -- Provides photos/information to area newspapers promoting students, faculty and
activities of Rosa Scott
Reality Fair -- Works with counselor to provide volunteers and food for Reality Fair event
which teaches students how to manage money through real life activities
Staff Appreciation -- Coordinates special luncheons/programs for faculty throughout the
school year
Technology -- Works with school's technology advisor to maintain/update technology
throughout the school year
T-shirts -- Designs and sells school t-shirt
