The list below is a comprehensive list of materials needed for each lesson included with The Family
School – Year 1 Art course. It does not include the general materials listed in your course syllabus or the
materials for the Enrichment section of each lesson, however.
Lesson 1
 Art Flashcards 1.1-1.6
 Art Timeline Card 1.1
 Artist notebook: A 1-inch binder with lined notebook paper
 Art supplies for today: colored pencils or crayons or markers, white drawing paper, white card
stock paper, and slip cover or page protector
 Bible for each child
 Choose a book from the suggested reading list to read aloud during the literature portion of the art
lessons and if possible have a copy for each child. Prepare to tell a little about the setting of the
story and why you chose this book.

 Art Flashcards 1.1-1.6
 Art Supplies for today: pencil, eraser, colored pencils or crayons, markers
 (optional) watercolor paints, paint brush, apron and water

 This project requires a kiln (a special oven to bake the clay). You may find one available in your
