Prevention magazine ranks Aurora No. 12 for top 25 Healthiest, Happiest Cities in America
Aurora has been ranked No. 12 in Prevention magazine's first-ever list of the 25 Healthiest Happiest Cities in
America.
The magazine evaluated 100 of the nation's largest cities on 48 measures of health, happiness and well being to
determine the top 25, including access to green space, concert halls, number of farmers' markets, disease incidence,
depression measures, unemployment rates and FBI crime statistics.
Aurora was cited for having the highest overall health (a combination of low diabetes, cancer and heart disease rates,
along with healthy BMIs), and plenty of access to green space.
Other Colorado cities mentioned among the top 25 were Colorado Springs at No. 18 and Denver at No. 21.
