Updates to latest version of the GAP Forum emission inventory
workbook (v6.4) since version v5.0)
1) Added capability to automatically generate results graphs
2) Main menu: Fixed bug on green button for going to Summary table 9
3) Sheets 1.6.1, 1.6.4, 1.6.7 and 1.6.9: Put in Tier 1 PM emission factors from
EEA/EMEP 2013 for PM10, PM2.5 and, where there were gaps, for BC and OC.
Residential EFs for coal changed to Zhi et al (2008) (from Bond et al, 2013
which were considered too low)
4) Sheets 1.6.2 and 1.6.5: Corrected wording for % industrial coal and oil
combustion subject to APCD
5) Sheet 1.6.1: Domestic wood PM10 EF = PM2.5/0.9
6) Sheet 1.6.4: For charcoal in domestic, assume PM2.5 EF = sum of BC and (OC x
1.4). Domestic wood PM2.5 EF = sum of BC and (OC x 1.4)
7) Sheets 1.6.7 and 1.6.9: Charcoal/domestic used Bond et al. (2004) EFs (Table
10) of 0.95 (BC) and 0.95 (OC) respectively. Updated residential coal and wood
EFs for BC and OC to 'Coal cooking stoves' and 'Conventional wood stoves' in
Bond et al (2013).
8) Sheet 1.6.9: Unspecified primary biomass OC for 'other sectors' made same as
for wood (2.8)
9) Sheet 1.6.10: Cells G37 and G38 'IS ERROR' formula correction
10) Sheet 1.8.1: Coke ovens now as either Uncontrolled (traditional) or Controlled
11) Sheet 1.8.2: Row 25 now hidden (oil transit in marine tankers is not usually
considered as territorial emissions)
12) Sheet 1.8.4: Added footnote ‘d’ on conversion from ktoe to kt of gasoline
13) Sheet 1.8.5: ‘Natural gas processing’ added
14) Sheet 1.9.3: Used ‘Euro’ standards for road vehicles from EMEP/EEA (2013)
(to replace old CPCB (2000) data) - plus some ARAI (2008) EFs for vehicles
not covered by EMEP/EEA. Added Urban Buses and table of vehicle class
definitions
15) Sheet 2.2: Default data source for Black Carbon from USGS. (Deleted reference
to UN Statistics for all acids as these are no longer covered by them.)
16) Sheet 6.1: CH4 IPCC (2006) EFs added for Mass burn (assumed continuous)
and Modular (assumed batch) incinerators
17) Sheet 6.4 Waste water. Changed data validation so fraction splits must total 1.0
18) Summary Sheet 9: Corrected formula in Cell M14 (i.e. divide by 1000 to get to
kt CH4) and cell refs for CH4 for Combustion in Manufacturing section
19) Throughout workbook - Updated all FAOSTAT web-links
