Junior League of Greenville Seeks Donations of New and Used Prom
Dresses to Benefit the Cinderella Project
GREENVILLE, S.C. (February 25, 2015) – The Junior League of Greenville will be
supporting The Cinderella Project as a co-sponsor of the event on Saturday, March 21,
2015 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church located
at 7 Shannon Drive in Greenville. The event, hosted by the South Carolina Bar Young
Lawyers Division, provides gently worn formal, bridesmaid and prom dresses for young
women who lack the financial resources to purchase a gown for their high school prom.
The event allows area high school students to browse racks of prom dresses, shoes,
jewelry and accessories. In addition, there will also be students from the Paul Mitchell
School to demonstrate hair and make-up techniques for prom night. Anyone who has a
valid high school ID is able to participate. Local high schools have been contacted to
inform students of the event.
Clean dresses in all sizes, as well as evening bags, jewelry, shoes and other
accessories, are needed. Donations may be dropped off at The Junior League of
Greenville’s Nearly New Shop located at 118 Greenacre Road in Greenville, 10 a.m.
until 5 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays. Please use the building’s rear entrance when
dropping off donations and please specify that these donations are for The Cinderella
Project. Donation receipts will be available. All donations must be received no later than
March 6, 2015. In addition to The Nearly New Shop, additional drop off locations for
donations are available via www.cinderellaprojectsc.com.
