Position Title: Occupational Therapist - Pediatrics Department: Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities Reports To: Clinical Director Position Description: Touro University Nevada Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities operates as a multidisciplinary team including Neuropsychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech-Language Therapy, and Occupational Therapy. The Occupational Therapist is expected to participate as an integral member of the team in terms of evaluation, treatment planning, and service implementation. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for conducting initial occupational therapy evaluations and contributing to multidisciplinary diagnostic evaluations using accepted assessment and/or screening instruments to appraise a child’s developmental status and performance in the areas of fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, play behaviors, activities of daily living, and adaptive functioning. Subsequently, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans based upon evaluation results. Additionally, the ability to effectively manage behaviors is highly desirable. Primary Ages Served: Early childhood to age 13 years. Qualifications/Required Skills and Abilities: Graduate of an accredited master’s level occupational therapy program Possess current license in good standing in Nevada or be Nevada license eligible 5 years previous Occupational Therapist experience preferred. 2 years of Occupational Therapist experience for pediatric and developmental disabilities preferred.
