JOIN US FOR A ONE DAY TRAINING FROM TEACHING STRATEGIES. IN THE MORNING SESSION WE WILL
FOCUS ON THE FOURTH STEP OF THE ASSESSMENT CYCLE FOR CREATIVE CURRICULUM ONLINE. AFTER
LUNCH, THE FOCUS WILL SHIFT TO EXPLORING STUDIES WHILE USING THE CURRICULUM.
MORNING SESSION
In the morning advanced lab session, teachers will explore in detail the final step of the four-step assessment cycle: summarize, plan, and communicate. Through hands-on activities and group discussions, they will learn how to use Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment information for short- and long-term planning, explore real-world strategies for sharing data with families and others, and practice using each of the major reports to inform planning and communicate information about children’s development and learning.
AFTERNOON SESSION
Through large- and small-group discussions and hands-on activities, teachers will explore investigations, which will demonstrate the benefits and parts of a study, how the objectives for development and learning can be meaningfully addressed, and also invite families lies and the community into the learning experience. By the end of this session, teachers will be able to choose an appropriate study topic for young children and describe what or call 906-228-3362 makes a study different from a theme.

TRAINING FROM TEACHING STRATEGIES.
Through large- and small-group discussions and hands-on activities, teachers will conduct an investigation, which will demonstrate the benefits and parts of a study, how the objectives for development and learning can be meaningfully addressed, and also invite
families and the community into the learning experience. They also will use their observations to develop a detailed plan to implement a study in their classroom as well prepare for ongoing success of the studies approach in their programs. By the end of this session, teachers will be able to choose an appropriate study topic for young children, describe what makes a study different from a theme, and be able to plan a study with confidence.
