Proposal 1: To design, develop and implement a membership entry assessment, to determine, in addition to all
other criteria, whether an individual is accepted as a SAMRA member.
Rationale:

To safeguard the integrity of SAMRA, and the SAMRA membership, in a fair and objective manner
To effectively mitigate fraud and similar behaviours in SAMRA member research and workplaces
Methodology: Integrity assessment
Implementation: All new applicants for any category of SAMRA membership will be required to participate in an
integrity assessment. This assessment will include a knowledge-based component/test regarding the SAMRA Code of
Conduct, and an integrity component/test. Existing members will also be encouraged to participate in the assessment.
