The French School of Jakarta is an international school which follows the French National
Curriculum with a strong emphasis on languages and academic success.
Job Description The teacher will carry out duties of a primary school teacher, for the English part of two
and
bilingual classes, with a French partner leading the other part, under the supervision of the
Responsibilities Head of Primary School.
- Working closely with a French co-teacher on lesson planning and programming
- Teaching all areas of the French primary curriculum in English.
- Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater the needs according to the
objectives of the curriculum.
- Taking responsibility for the progress of a class of primary.
- Organizing the classroom and learning resources to create a positive learning
environment.
- Assessing, recording, and reporting on pupils’ development and progress.
- Maintaining good order and discipline among pupils.
- Establishing cordial and professional relationships with colleagues and pupil’s
parents.
Experience and
Degrees

Primary school teaching qualification with experience
Or Bachelor degree with previous experience of this age group
Native speakers will be given priority
Skills

Flexibility and very good abilities for team work.
Energy, dynamism to contribute fully to the life of an international school.
An eagerness to discover, understand and adopt the French Education system
Basic knowledge of French would be an advantage
Contract
Due to Indonesian Immigration legislation, LFJ proposes one year renewable contracts
from September to August. The LFJ has an Embassy School status.
Salary and
- Salary + package
conditions
- Package : Local contract allowance + cost of living Allowance + housing allowance, free
school fees for children attending LFJ, flight tickets every 2 years, tax assistance, retirement
premium, health insurance.
- For candidates recruited outside of Indonesia : Allowance for return tickets for family +
moving allowance.
- Visa costs and processing is taken care of by LFJ
