Discipleship Curriculum
This curriculum is meant to help give some direction and resources to the time that you spend with others in a one on one,
one on two etc. “discipleship” setting. I recommend that you start with using the Personal Evaluation under level one. Set a time
and go over the exercise with them. Highlight areas that seem especially valuable to pursue this year. Bring this sheet along and
look over the content together. Discuss the timing of going over material and what areas would seem most currently relevant in
light of the evaluation exercise.
Next, go home and download the Discipleship Planning Sheet. Fill out the information so that you will remember your
initial conversation. Write down some prayer ideas and some thoughts that you have about what the person needs to learn or grow
in. Download the applicable resources that are grouped in suggested categories below and spend some time preparing the topics
each week that you will discuss or assign. (Suggestion: Many of you are working with people nearly your same age and possibly
maturity. It can be awkward telling them you have something to teach them. Why not approach it as learning together? Enter into
it as a mutual growing process and developing both of your ability to lead others in the future.)
Finally, the staff team is here for you! It is so exciting that so many of you are spending time in these sort of relationships.
Don’t feel overwhelmed, just learn together and know that the staff team is a resource to you at any time. In fact please involve us,
that’s what we are here for. I pray that you will have a great experience in discipling others!
