Students are to complete all of the Reading sub-tests under section 5 in Study Island: READING
APPLICATIONS: LITERARY TEXT
In each sub-test, the students are to take ten questions under the practice mode. If they score
80% or higher, they do not have to re-take the test. If scores are lower than 80%, then they must
re-take the test.
They are due by December 19th.
Study Island may be accessed through the MMS home page under resources for the media
center. The reading test (not the newer ELA test) is located along the top in a tab. Students will
use their student numbers to access the tests.
Levy:
Help This Week: Levy on Wednesday from 8-8:25 am and Srp on Thursday from 8-8:25 am

McBride:
Regular: read the story “The Origin of the Seasons”. Take the normal 2-column notes. In
addition to these, identify and explain how any of the characteristics of mythology are used in
this story. Look in your previous notes to find these characteristics and show how they are used
in this story.
Honors: no homework.
Mociolek:
Science – Finish reading chapter 1, sec. 1 in the book
(starts on page 146) and finish the guided reading.
Parker:
