Can students pause a test and come back to it later?
YES, students can pause the test and resume later. However, the test must be completed within two
weeks, or the test will “spoil” . If a test “spoils”, then the student will have to re-take it from the
beginning.
How can I see which students have taken/finished/not started the test?
Login as staff, click Performance Tests, Click Students Tested This Testing Period or Unfinished and
Inactive Tests, or Spoiled Tests.
Will the test questions time out if students take too long to answer?
There is no time limit on the questions –
the system will have a screen pop up asking if the student is 'still there' after five minutes or so.
Can students re-take an assessment if they didn’t perform to their level?
Yes, a student can take any test as many times as needed - no one needs to assign them to it, all of the
tests are always available for all of the students. If the re-take is more successful than the original test,
the teacher has two options:
1.) Leave the first test in Performance Series for historical analysis - the most current test will always
be used for all reports.
2.) Go to the building location controller and have them spoil the first test, effectively deleting it from
the system altogether.
Are there sample/practice items prior to the test?
Only for grades K-2.There are proctoring scripts in the Documents tab within Performance Series that
are invaluable to helping students have a smooth test-taking experience.
