His areas of expertise include immunoelectrophoresis and cardiac enzymology. In addition to being the Medical Director for the laboratory system, Dr. Zentner provides medical direction to the Clincal Lab Department at Cape Cod Hospital. Dr. Clara Mesonero, Chief of Pathology at Cape Cod Hospital is a general pathologist, AP-CP certified with subspecialty in cytopathology, special interest in breast and thyroid pathology. She was Associate Professor at the University of Rochester and Chief of Fine-Needle Aspiration Clinic. She has written many papers, 3 book chapters, and continues to give presentations and workshops at national and international meetings. Dr. Mesonero provides medical direction to Cytology and Blood Bank at Cape Cod Hospital. Dr. Salah Elderiny is the Director of Surgical Pathology and Immunohistochemistry at Cape Cod Hospital. Dr. Elderiny is a general pathologist with special interests in gastrointestinal and liver pathology with numerous publications in such areas. He has a Ph.D. degree in Immunohistochemistry in Pathology, from Boston University, where he remains on the teaching staff as Assistant Professor. Dr. Elderiny has a special interest in computer applications and imaging in surgical pathology. Dr. Frank Braza Dr. Eugene Ferraro trained at the Medical College of Virginia and was chief resident under Dr. Frable, one of the world’s leading experts in Cytology and Surgical Pathology. As chief resident, Dr. Ferraro functioned as a junior attending signing out Dr. Frable’s consultations. Dr. Ferraro is Board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. He provides medical direction to the Microbiology Department at Falmouth Hospital. He is Medical Director at Falmouth Hospital Urgent Care Center and Mashpee Health Center, an extension of Falmouth Hospital Laboratory. Dr. Leslie Max has trained at the Medical College of Virginia under Dr. Frable, one of the world’s leading experts in Cytology and Surgical Pathology. She is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and has expertise in Flow Cytometry. Dr. Max joined us in October 2002 after 5 years of successful practice in Charlottesville, Virginia. Her special areas of interest include breast pathology and fine-needle aspiration cytology.
