Biocompatibility/pulp compatibility testing of dental materials (mainly dentin contacting
materials) using animals (rats, rabbits, monkeys), later cell cultures
Development of an in vitro pulp chamber test, in order to avoid/reduce animal experimentation,
2008 accepted in ISO Standard 7405
Characterization of bovine and human dentin permeability
Transfection experiments with primary bovine pulp cells, later with primary human pulp cells,
genetic expression of odontoblasts
Influence of dental materials components (Monomers) on pulp cell metabolism
Standardization of biocompatibility testing (responsible for ISO 7405)
Influence of materials (membranes) of periodontal regeneration
Scaffold materials for dental pulp regeneration
