Our district is facing a funding crisis. Our students are faced with elimination of classes that may cause them to lose their constitutional right to a basic education! We need your help now. The current school aid formula continues to hurt school districts like ___________________. Our district has lost millions in aid over the last four years. Almost all of this lost school aid is due to the Gap Elimination Adjustment. The Governor has told school districts to reduce expenses and use reserves, while keeping within the state-imposed tax levy limit. Our school district has done just as he’s instructed, shrinking staff size and cutting educational programs. We have arrived at a place where ‘doing more with less’ is no longer an acceptable option. There is simply no further room to cut our school district’s budget and still be able to meet the common core learning standards and maintain the high education standards that are a hallmark of the ______________________ School District. We share a common desire for our students to graduate college career ready and to be successful in a competitive and diverse global workplace. We are grateful for the support you have demonstrated to education and to our school district. But we need more. The current school aid formula does not provide enough support to __________________ and other similar school districts. Please fight to remove the Gap Elimination Adjustment immediately! Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, _________________________________________________________ Email Addresses: NYS Assemblypeople: 1) Assemblyman James Skoufis SkoufisJ@assembly.state.ny.us (Districts: Chester, Cornwall, Goshen, Highland Falls, Minisink, Monroe-Woodbury, Washingtonville) 2) Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther GuntheA@assembly.state.ny.us (Districts: Middletown, Eldred, Fallsburg, Liberty, Livingston Manner, Monticello, Roscoe, Sullivan West) 3) Assemblyman Frank Skartados skartados@assembly.state.ny.us (Districts: Newburgh) 4) Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney tenneyc@assembly.state.ny.us (Districts: Valley Central, Tri-Valley) NYS Senators: 1) Senator William J.
