Procedure for Empanelment of Grid Tied Inverter Manufacturers for
Implementation of SRTPV Electricity generation program in
BESCOM.
General instructions:
1. BESCOM is empanelling Grid-tied inverter manufacturers for its solar roof top
programme. This empanelment programme is a continuous process.
2. Interested manufacturers shall register their application at the office of the
General Manager(DSM) Room no. 12, Ground floor, Block No. 2, corporate office,
BESCOM, K R circle, Bangalore.
3. The Empanelment for the solar rooftop PV generation programme shall be for a
period of one year and which may be extended up to two years.
4. The Applicant shall pay the vendor fee of Rs.25,000/- by DD drawn in favor of
AGM(E&S), Corporate Office, BESCOM, Bangalore on intimation in writing from
the General Manager (El), DSM.
5. The Manufacturer shall submit the copy of all the relevant IEC Certificates/Test
reports of Grid-tied inverters as per technical standards and grid connectivity
standards as specified in Annexure – I (In Both Hard and soft copies).
6. The inverter manufacturer shall furnish an undertaking to maintain for five years
full-fledged service centers in Bangalore, Mangalore, Mysore, Hubli, Gulbarga
cities in Karnataka state. The manufacturer should provide the details of service
center with address, Name of the contact person, mobile no., email id etc.
7. The manufacturer shall furnish the minimum guarantee of 5 years for the
inverters.
8. The manufacturer or the firm shall not have been black listed in any of the
DISCOM’s / Utilities in INDIA.
9. The manufacturer shall submit an undertaking on a non-judicial stamp paper of
Rs.200/- for providing service support during the entire guaranteed period of 5
years after approval from BESCOM.
10. The manufacturers shall submit the price list of empanelled rating inverters from
time to time for publishing the same in BESCOM website.
11. BESCOM reserves the right to delist such of the manufacturer from the
empanelment list in case the performance of inverters is not satisfactory within
the guaranteed period.
