Woodcraft Folk NCS Summer Programme – 10th of August start Week 1 – Cold Spring Farm (SK17 6SS) Monday 10th of August 1pm - Pick up at the Bradford Deaf Centre (BD1 3PR) in Bradford or Wakefield College (WF1 2DH) in Wakefield. 4pm - Arrive at site and set up camp including person and team tents. 7pm - Dinner time Evening Activity – Team building and deciding programme for the week from a choice of team building sessions including first aid sessions. Tuesday 11th, Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th of August 9:30am - Breakfast 10:30am Morning Circle 11am – Activity (Raft building, Brushcraft or Climbing) or team building sessions. You will do one activity a day in the morning or afternoon then session the rest of the time. 1pm – Lunch 2pm – Activity (Raft building, Brushcraft or Climbing) or team building sessions. You will do one activity a day in the morning or afternoon then session the rest of the time. 4pm – Chill time 5pm – Team building sessions 7pm – Dinner Evening Activity – Campfire, Lantern making and sleeping under the stars. Thursday night we will have an end of week party. There will be a camp council where one person from each team will attend to discuss how camp is going. Friday 14st of August 9:30am – Break 10:30am – Morning Circle 11am – Put down the camp 1pm – Coach pick up and sandwiches 3pm – Drop off at either Bradford Deaf Centre or Wakefield College. Each team will be taking turns for half a day to help run the camp by cooking, cleaning and do jobs that need to be done. Monday 24th of August – Start planning your community projects and visit the local area Tuesday 25th of August – You will finalising your project plans Wednesday 26th of August – In the morning you will present your project to a community panel Thursday 27th of August – A chance to make changes to your plan based on the panel’s feedback. Friday 28st of August – A day to make sure you’re already to go with your project next week. Week 4 Doing the 20 hours project this is down to you and your team and the nature of your projects. This can include away from the groups but still working on the project. You will also have to prepare a stall and a short talk on your projects for the graduation event. Graduation – Thursday 17th of September in Leeds 6pm until 9pm We will celebrate your achievements, show off your projects through the stalls and present the certificates. We want your ideas for this event so let us know them.
