Woodcraft Folk NCS Summer Programme – 27th of July start
Week 1 – Cold Spring Farm (SK17 6SS)
Monday 27th of July
1pm - Pick up at the Bradford Deaf Centre (BD1 3PR) in Bradford
4pm - Arrive at site and set up camp including person and team tents.
7pm - Dinner time
Evening Activity – Team building and deciding programme for the week from a choice of team
building sessions including first aid sessions.
Tuesday 28th, Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th of July
9:30am - Breakfast
10:30am Morning Circle
11am – Activity (Raft building, Brushcraft or Climbing) or team building sessions. You will do one
activity a day in the morning or afternoon then session the rest of the time.
1pm – Lunch
2pm – Activity (Raft building, Brushcraft or Climbing) or team building sessions. You will do one
activity a day in the morning or afternoon then session the rest of the time.
4pm – Chill time
5pm – Team building sessions
7pm – Dinner
Evening Activity – Campfire, Lantern making and sleeping under the stars. Thursday night we will
have an end of week party. There will be a camp council where one person from each team will
attend to discuss how camp is going.
Friday 31st of July
9:30am – Break
10:30am – Morning Circle
11am – Put down the camp
1pm – Coach pick up and sandwiches
3pm – Drop off at Bradford Deaf Centre
Each team will be taking turns for half a day to help run the camp by cooking, cleaning and do jobs
that need to be done.
Week 2 – Black Hills Campsite (BD16 1UB)
Monday 3rd of August

Evening Activity – Team building and deciding programme for the week from a choice of key skills
and community project sessions.

9:30am - Breakfast
10:30am Morning Circle
11am – Social action talk (From GB athlete, Real Junk Food or Woodcraft Folk) or key skills and
community project sessions or a Capoeira session.
1pm – Lunch
2pm – Social action talk (From GB athlete, Real Junk Food or Woodcraft Folk) or key skills and
community project sessions or a Capoeira session.
4pm – Chill time
5pm – Key skills and community project sessions.
7pm – Dinner
Evening Activity – Campfire, Quiz and Sports evening. Thursday night we will have an end of week

Wednesday 5th of August
9:30am - Breakfast
10:30am Morning Circle
11am – Helping out a local community group (Manning Mills Community Centre, Woodcraft Folk
play out, Horton Community Farm, BCEP or Keighley community allotments). You will decide which
one you want to go to.
1pm – Packed Lunch

4pm – Return to camp
5pm – Chill time
7pm – Dinner

Week 3 - 10 am - 4pm at the Bradford Deaf Centre (BD1 3PR) in Bradford
Monday 10th of August – Start planning your community projects and visit the local area
Tuesday 11th of August – You will finalising your project plans
Wednesday 12th of August – In the morning you will present your project to a community panel
Thursday 13th of August – A chance to make changes to your plan based on the panel’s feedback.
Friday 14st of August – A day to make sure you’re already to go with your project next week.
Week 4
Doing the 30 hours project this is down to you and your team and the nature of your projects. This
can include away from the groups but still working on the project. You will also have to prepare a
stall and a short talk on your projects for the graduation event.
Graduation – Thursday 17th of September in Leeds 6pm until 9pm
We will celebrate your achievements, show off your projects through the stalls and present the
certificates. We want your ideas for this event so let us know them.
