We are very excited to offer our new Transition to Prep Program commencing Term Four this year. Our Transition to Prep Program will provide opportunities for those children within our community starting Prep with us in 2016 to have the best start to their formal schooling days. Our Transition to Prep Program ensures that your child: becomes familiar with our routines, expectations and environment. develops appropriate early numeracy and literacy skills and language. engages in gross and fine motor activities. begins to develop positive relationships with other children who will start Prep with them. engages with adults within the school context. develops positive associations with school, making the emotional transition to Prep smooth. As parents, the program will provide you with the opportunity to: engage with other parents who have children in your child’s cohort. get some handy tips to help make your child’s transition carefree. develop confidence in our supportive school environment. If your child is born between 1 July 2010 & 30 June 2011 they are eligible to enroll in Prep for next year. If you have already enrolled your child for Prep in 2016 and would like to attend the Transition to Prep Program, please contact Chris Kelly (Master Teacher) on 3361 8444 or by email at ckell27@eq.edu.au. If you have not yet enrolled in Prep please complete an enrolment form (available from the office or on the website (kurabyss.eq.edu.au). When enrolling your child for Prep, you will need to bring in your child’s birth certificate and two forms(rates notice, rental agreement, bill) proving residential address.
