Third-Year Goodbye 2011

THE FATE of the gods rests in mortal hands.
SEERS, practicing their art on the knife edge between life and death, have
pronounced it so.
THROUGHOUT the five ages of the nine worlds, the best and the strongest of
Norsca’s humans, dwarves, trolls and stranger beasts have been marked by
one shared fate, one shared doom.
FOR in a nest at the heart of oblivion, among the branches of the world tree
itself, a power more vast than any before seen is moving and the war it brings
threatens the gods themselves. These marked heroes shall have one
opportunity to stem the tide and prevent the breaking of the world.
From the AXE AGE will come those who prize might and physical power
above all.
From the WOLF AGE will come those who are quick to anger and merciless in
revenge.
From the WIND AGE will come those who value even-handed justice,
and who are tireless in its pursuit.
From the RUNE AGE will come those who safeguard the knowledge of past
ages,
and who uphold the written law absolutely.
From the SWORD AGE will come those who live by a code of honour
and seek to inspire their virtues in others.
THROUGH HONOUR and treachery, battle and song, prophecy and the sacrifice
of blood, the chosen of the gods will be brought together one final time, amidst
storm, amidst fire, and the howling of the wolves...
OOC Information
Ragnarok will be an interactive-style weekend event from the 15th to 17th of June 2011, at the Ennerdale Scout
Centre in Cumbria. This event is in Durham Treasure Trap's "Third-Year Goodbye" style; this means it will use
the TT rules system and setting, but won't involve the characters from the regular game. The structure of the
event means there are a large number of player spots, with a smaller number of monster crew needed to help
with the cooking and the violence. Player places will cost £35, and crew places just £5.
For this event, characters are pre-generated from player requests based on the event pitch above. Third-Years players who are graduating finalists at Durham University this year, or who have otherwise been in the society
for three years - will have the event written to focus around their preferences - non-third-year characters may
have some things changed to fit! For this reason, it's helpful to add notes to your form to let us know if there is
anything you absolutely do or do not want to play. If you want to ask about any particular aspects of the event,
please poke the Head Ref (Mike Evans) or the ref team (Freya Copley-Mills, Jeanette Ng, Andre Tcherepine, Tom

The booking deadline for the event will be Friday the 27th of January 2011 - after that date we may still have
crew places, but all character bookings must be in by then!

If you'd like us to arrange transport, it will be via minibus and will get you to the event on Friday and back again
on Sunday, from outside the Durham Students' Union building. Transport will cost more on top of the main event
price - cost of transport divided between everyone who needs it. For this reason, if you request transport and later
change your mind we might have to charge you anyway - please bear this in mind!
