AFJROTC Mission, Core Values, Code, & Pledge AFJROTC Mission The mission of the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) is to “Build Better Citizens for America.” AFJROTC Goals The goals of the AFJROTC program are to instill in high school students: Personal Responsibility A Sense of Accomplishment Values of Citizenship Service to the United States AFJROTC Corps Values Integrity: The undying devotion to truthfulness, doing one’s duty, and doing what is right. Courage: The state of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty or danger despite fear. Patriotism: Devoted love, support, and defense of one’s country. Competence: Having the skill, knowledge, and experience that are required to accomplish the task. Tenacity: To persist in anything undertaken in spite of difficulty or obstacles. Service: The giving of one’s self to provide for the welfare of others. AFJROTC Code I will not lie, cheat, or steal, nor will I tolerate anyone who does. Neither will I ever bring discredit to the Corps. AFJROTC Cadet Pledge As a student and cadet at Gateway Institute of Technology I believe that the reputation of the school and Junior ROTC depends upon my attitude and behavior. I shall attempt to at all times, exhibit good manners, good sportsmanship, and friendliness to all. Strive for high scholastic standing and support the school and cadet activities to the best of my ability. To honor, respect, and cooperate with my associate students, my community, and my country.
