Atmospheric Tourism Poster Name: ________________________________ Partner Name: __________________________ You’ve just been hired by the Atmospheric Council of Earth (ACE) to encourage tourism to different layers of the earth’s atmosphere. You will create a poster or magazine advertisement (full page) that informs the public of the incredible facts about the atmospheric layer assigned to you. Your poster will be created on a digital resource of your choice - MS Word, ActivInspire, etc. to create your ad – Please choose a program your sure you can save files on your computer with and back up work to a flash drive. You can also mix digital and drawings that you create. If you have other ideas, please see the Director of Marketing at ACE (Mr. Polyn) for approval. Required Elements: o o o o Vital Statistics: Altitude, temperature range, air pressure. What is special about it? What are some (at least two) interesting facts about your layer? What else will you see up there? (Planes? Satellites? Aurora Borealis?) Where does it's name come from? Resources -- Use information from your textbook or the Internet. To prevent unfounded accusations of plagiarism, please cite sources and turn in a list of sources. Other important notes: Deadline – Your poster must be submitted by Friday, May 15th. Some class time will be provided, but some work is expected to occur outside of class. Maximum of two people per group. If you are worried about your handwriting – use the computer for text and then print – do not copy and paste from internet sources. Submissions – To be determined – most likely a digital copy of your work will be submitted via MyBigCampus, but a printed copy may be collected – final determination on this topic will be delivered in class.
