Our goal is an incident free positive season for all. Our experience has told us that the best way for us to
accomplish this is to put down in writing our exact expectations up front. This agreement covers the
majority of questions/concerns that may arise during the season and the protocol to handling any
issues. It is imperative you read this contract and agree to all of the terms prior to joining this season.
THIS CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT (the “Contract”) is made and entered into, by and between
JKVOLLEYBALL and below Named Parent and Player, as a participant in the JABC Program.

TEAMS- PLAYERS
It is the philosophy of the JKVOLLEYBALL program to develop respect, discipline, commitment, and a
positive self-image in each of the athletes. It is important that each player understand the concept of
being a part of a “team." Selfish acts will be grounds for dismissal from the team and club. Every athlete
will be expected to conduct herself appropriately at all times. You will be representing the
JKVOLLEYBALL program and will show respect at all times to coaches, teammates, opponents, officials
and parents. We expect you to be competitive, but not disrespectful toward other teams or clubs.
Being disrespectful to anyone will not be tolerated!

Expectation
If it is in the best interest of the program, players must be willing to play any position needed by doubles
team. Understand that practice and training is where you receive the most instruction and experience.
Practice
Each week the girls will have 2- two hour practices. One weekday and one weekend (to be determined
once team is chosen). There are no make-up practices if you miss. Coach may need to reschedule
because of site availability. Practices are held at the Massad YMCA sand courts unless weather does not
permit. Girls should always be ready with shoes to practice indoor at the Y when needed.
Tournaments
Tournament registration and fees are the responsibility of each team. This is extra! Typical one day
tournament cost is $20-$40/per player. Two day tournaments are more. Teams can choose which
tournaments they would like to attend and where. Coach will help to pair up teams for tournaments but
registration is to be done by parents.
Missing Practice
If you must miss a practice please inform your coach as soon as possible (minimum 24 hours in advance)
so that the coach may plan practice appropriately. If you will be missing practice because you went
home sick from school, text your coach, (not a friend) to inform her of your last minute illness.

Parents Requirements
All club information will be broadcasted via email. In order to be kept informed, you are asked to
frequently check your e-mail and visit www.jkvolleyball.com. Parents are encouraged to attend practices
and tournaments but are not to “coach” their athletes during practices and tournaments. The athletes
will be focused on what coach has to say and need to concentrate on such.
If an athlete is removed by parents for any reason from the tournament site without previous
permission from the coach, JABC will consider that athlete to have resigned from the program. All
remaining money will become due and payable at that time. Practice and tournament schedule is
posted on the jkvolleyball website (www.jkvolleyball.com). Detailed region tournament info, location,
format will be emailed prior to the tournament. Details to events will be sent out 48-72 hours prior to
each event. Parents are responsible for getting their child to and from a tournament.
ALL PLAYERS MUST TALK WITH THE COACH BEFORE LEAVING THE EVENT!
Parents are to be supportive of the entire team at all time, and all Junior Atlantic Beach Club teams
while at tournaments. Guidelines for Parents are no different from athletes in this regard. At no time
should you address or yell at any official.
We host a minimum of six tournaments a year. We require all players to stay until the end and clean up.
Parents are expected to assist team rep during the tournament with some duties such as check in,
logging set results, trash, setting up chairs, taking pictures, and keeping the event safe.
