Over $7K raised so far. With final fund-raising being a Dance-a-Thon on February 12 6) Treasurer’s Report – Laura Beaune Not a lot of ins & outs recently, and a nice healthy budget still Chairs looking ahead at expenses coming up – in-school year - to ensure our balance is properly used 7) Fundraising Update – Christine Pachelo & Stephanie Hurst Annual BeachFest scheduled for Thursday May 28 o Repeating a lot of the great things that worked last year: food trucks, tables for eating, bouncy castles, activities, all-you-can-jump wristbands, online eCommerce site to purchase tickets etc. ahead of time o Volunteers needed: volunteer coordinator to help run the 75 volunteers needed on the day Pizza Lunch Lead needed for the 2015/2016 school year, to be on-boarded this year Suggesting a “volunteer drive” brainstorm for next meeting 8) Social Justice Update – Tim Ormand Some issues around generating support / volunteers to help support this committee Decision needs to be made whether we continue to donate 15% of our raised funds to social justice commitments – and what to best used the donated funds for Due to Tim’s work with the Armed Forces, he will need back up in this role – especially in May and June 9) New Human Development & Sexual Health, Parent Consultation Not an ideal process & turn-around time Co-chairs shared with PIAC that they had concerns around this process 10) Succession Planning for Co-Chairs Will spend bulk of March meeting discussing succession plan for Council positions that are opening up next year – including Co-Chairs Next Meeting: Monday March 2 @ 6:45PM
