Dear Parents,
Once again, thanks for sharing your babies with me! We are having
a blast with learning. Please continue to speak with your child
about being on their best behavior. I tell them daily, “ Your attitude
determines your altitude.” I am trying my best to instill this in them
so they will become believers within themselves.
In your spare time, please continue to work on writing letters and
numbers 1-40. This is an important concept for first graders. By
the end of the year, the students will be expected to count to 120.
Make them count everything they see and also reading daily will
improve their comprehension.
Remember, to contact me via Remind or through the school. I will
be contacting you to begin my Parent conferences which is
mandatory for the school. Also, this the last week of the quarter.
We will have CFAs this week!!
Skills
Reading- Long and Short vowels, Blending
Language Arts- handwriting, short/long vowels, punctuation,
capitalization
Math- counting to 120, adding/subtracting to 10, identifying objects
