As children across Ontario head back to school in early September, Dr. Corina Francu, a
General Paediatric Specialist, will be heading to Almonte to open a new office.
Dr. Francu, a graduate of the Universitatea Transilvania in Romania and the University of
Ottawa, has been certified as a Paediatric Specialist by the Royal College of Physicians and
Surgeons of Canada. During her residency, she worked mainly at the Children’s Hospital of
Eastern Ontario (CHEO), with additional placements in Kingston and Cornwall.
Her full-time practice will serve children in Mississippi Mills, Carleton Place and Arnprior as well as surrounding communities. She will be located within the Ottawa Valley Family Health
Team, 95 Spring Street, Almonte and will also offer clinics in Arnprior and Carleton Place on a regular basis. In addition, Dr. Francu will be available to provide support to the Obstetrics program at Almonte General Hospital.
