Objects and means
THAT WHICH, WHICH,
WHAT, WHATEVER
INTRANSITIVE VERBS (use ‫ ِما‬in place of the thing that comes after
the preposition (ie, the indirect object). Construct as follows:
1. ‫ ما‬at the beginning of sentence
2. Verb & Object (if there is one) plus preposition ِ‫ب‬
3. Add 3S suffix pronoun (referring back to ‫) ما‬
OTHER USES If followed (directly or with a short phrase in between)
by ‫ من‬and a noun then it means “WHATEVER”
In Arabic construct sentence in this order:
1. ‫( ما‬Whatever)
2. Verb
3. ‫ من‬and noun
In English translate sentence in this order: 1, 3, 2
(don’t literally translate ‫) ِمن‬
Direct Object is ‫منصوب‬
Indirect Object is ‫ مجرور‬as it comes after a
preposition
After ‫ من‬noun will be ‫مجرور‬
