INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIPS (2)
AMERICAN INDIA FOUNDATION, India; DrewLink #11802
William J. Clinton Fellow. Participate in this immersive, 10-month service program. Work with
high-impact non-government organizations (NGOs) and social enterprises. Contribute to
sustainable development projects in the fields of education, livelihoods, public health, and
human rights. The fellowship is fully funded and provides a living stipend and covers all travel
costs to India. Expires 1/4/14.
HUMANITY IN ACTION (HIA), Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris, and Warsaw; Not posted

HIA Fellow. Join an international group of students and young professions to promote civility,
cooperation, and democratic principles among all people, especially those who have suffered
oppression and intolerance. The five-week program includes several days at the Council on
Foreign Relations and then a four-week experience in one of the major European capitals listed
above. The program consists of daily lectures and discussions with renowned academics,
journalists, politicians, and activists. In addition, participants visit government agencies, nonprofit organizations, museums, and memorials.
Note: The program is open to sophomores, juniors, seniors, and alumni from the Classes of
2013 and 2012.

U.S. FELLOWSHIPS (2)
THOMAS R. PICKERING R. PICKERING FOREIGN AFFAIRS FELLOWSHIP; Not posted on

Funded by the U.S. State Department and administered by the Woodrow Wilson National
Fellowship Foundation, the Pickering Fellowship attracts young men and women who aspire to
represent America’s interests abroad. Women, members of minority groups historically
underrepresented in the Foreign Service, and student with financial need are encouraged to
apply. Key points:

Open to current seniors and juniors
Receive up to $40,000 annually for academic expenses covering the first year of
graduate study or the senior year of undergraduate study
Participate in two paid State Department summer internships--one domestic, one
abroad

Venture for America (VFA) seeks talented seniors who have track records of being leaders and
building things. Fellows are hired by an exciting growth company in one 8 VFA cities:
Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Providence, or Philadelphia.
They spend two years there, growing and contributing to their companies and communities.
The inaugural class of 2012 consisted of 40 fellows; the class of 2013 consisted of 68 fellows,
including graduates of Boston College, Duke, Georgetown, Haverford, Lehigh, Middlebury,
Oberlin, St. Lawrence, Vassar, and Wesleyan. All fellows participate in a five-week summer

Match Teacher Resident. Do you want to be an unusually effective first-year teacher in a highpoverty charter school in Boston? The Match Teacher Residency is a one-year intense training
program, preparing you to teach in high-need schools. Following the year of training, Match
