6th semester, academic year 2015/2016
Dear Students,
According to the Rules of Studies at Warsaw School of Economics - § 12.1 In the time specified by the Dean by way of instruction, a student is
obliged to file student declarations, separate for each major studied at SGH.
Such declaration is made through the Virtual Dean’s Office by submitting the Course Selection Card.
For each semester of studies students have to declare courses for 30 ECTS points, unless they have surplus from previous semesters. In this case,
the sum of declared points can be reduced.
The first stage of students’ declaration will take place 10-15 of November. Student submitting the declaration is obliged to choose only one
lecturer for each course. If the number of students willing to choose a course exceeds the determined limit, the decisive factor will be the grade
point average from previous semester.
Second stage consists of two steps.
First step (21-25 of January 2016) consists in eliminating the conflicts by students who participated in the first stage of selection. Eliminating of
the conflict means resignation from one or more colliding courses. Besides, if your first choice was cancelled because of too low number of
qualificative points or the class was not launched you need to choose other lecturer. There is also possibility of elimination elective courses.
During the technical break (26 of January 2016) all colliding courses will be cancelled automatically.
In the second step (27-31 of January 2016, for students who participated in the 1st stage of course selection and 29-31 of January 2016, for those
who didn’t) you will be able to join other classes that are launched (as far as possible) and eliminate elective courses.
Attention! In the second stage, while choosing a determined lecturer, you will be able to check how many students have already chosen the same
class and what the limit is.

Selections made through the Virtual Dean’s Office are binding and impossible to change after confirming (there’s no possibility of changing the
lecturer and withdrawing from declared courses).
