How do I Find God’s Will For My Life?
 Ephesians 5:15
Before you ask about the specifics of your life you
need to have an understanding of God’s boundaries.
1.The sovereign will of God.
Definition: What God is doing on the earth. (His
works)
God’s specific will for our lives is never outside of His
sovereign will for the world.
2.The moral will of God.
Definition: What God has already said in His Word.
(His ways)
3. The personal will of God.
Definition: What God desires for my life. (His
plan)
When you stay in the boundaries of God’s works and
God’s ways you live in God’s plan.
 Romans 12:2
Five Questions to Test God’s Will:
1. Will this grow my relationship with God?
Everything in your life from God is about His
relationship with you growing.
To know God’s will, I must know God.
2. What does the Bible say?
Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth will pass away but My
words will never pass away.
God will never tell you to violate a principle that He’s
given in the Bible.
The Bible is the greatest resource to finding God’s
will because it is filled with what God has said.
3. What does my divine design say?
 Ephesians 2:10
Notice that God created two things in this verse: you
and what you are supposed to do.
4. Have I sought Godly counsel?
 Colossians 4:12
The Christian life is more than just believing; it is
also about belonging.
If mature believers question it, you should question it
too.
5. Do I sense God’s peace?
 1 Corinthians 14:33 (KJV)
Life lesson: If you feel pressure you shouldn’t
proceed.
God’s will always brings:
 Provision
 Protection
 Promotion
