The Module Registration/Change Form allows you to register modules or make authorised changes to your programme in the following circumstances:1. You are a new student and have not yet registered optional modules you intend to study this year. 2. You are a returning student and there are errors on your profile. 3. You wish to make a change to any optional or elective modules you are registered for. This form should be submitted to your School Office by 5.00 pm on Wednesday 17 September 2014 for personal online timetable production purposes. After this date forms should be submitted to your School Office at the earliest opportunity to register your programme of study and to obtain a personal online timetable. IMPORTANT NOTES FOR STUDENTS Full-time students must seek academic advice before withdrawing from a module since this could affect their eligibility to progress on the full time route. Whatever your reason for using this form you will need advice from an authorised member of staff. This will be whoever is responsible for your overall Programme of Study as determined by your Course Leader. You will need their signature at the end of the form. You will also need authorised signatures against the individual module entries. As a guide, if you are registering a defined Programme of Study on a course the signature of your Course Leader would be appropriate to sign against the modules and also the overall form. If you are a Combined Honours student or are registering an optional element on a course you will need the signature of the Module Tutor or Subject Leader against the modules and your Course Leader overall. The member of staff responsible for your overall programme of study will be able to advise you about the signatures you require if you are uncertain. Unauthorised forms cannot be accepted. Students who make changes to their programme of study, particularly adding or removing modules that may change their mode of study as part-time or full-time or transferring course, should be aware that this may affect their eligibility for full-time or part-time student financial support, the funding package they are eligible for and the amount of tuition fees charged. Students should contact Student Finance England regarding any queries over the funding they may be eligible for. For any queries regarding the tuition fees they will be charged, students should contact the Tuition Fee Team at the University. ACCREDITATION OF PRIOR LEARNING (APL) Whether you are a new student or a returning student, if you think you may be able to make a claim for any module(s) to be accredited on the basis of your prior learning instead of registering to study them please seek immediate advice from the APL Unit by email aplunit@uclan.ac.uk or telephone 01772 895008. All students are required to submit their APL applications together with supporting evidence at the earliest opportunity and no later than Friday 24 October 2014. . Please note that the APL application is a separate process from completion of this Module Registration/Change form. If you are a full time student investigating APL you should complete a six module registration as normal until your eligibility has been verified.
