On receipt of $35.00 & S.S.A.E at the Show Office, 2x2 Day Passes will be returned to you. Please post
to: G.S.S, PO Box 235, Gatton 4343 and allow up to 2 weeks for return of tickets.

All EXHIBITORS NEED TO SUPPLY THEIR OWN BEDDING STRAW.
Age of Cattle shall be actual age to 1st July 2012.
All animals will be registered in a Herd Book of the respective Breed Society.
All Animals are to be owned by the EXHIBITOR for 3 Months PRIOR to the Show.
Proof of registration, or eligibility to Register, must be available on request by Stewards.
Details of Each Exhibit entered in Classes 1 to 10 to be supplied on the Application for
Entry: Breed, Name of Exhibit, Herd Book No., Registration No., or Calf Recording No.
Any Animal shown as an individual Exhibit may not be shown with its Dam.
In Cow classes, calves exhibited at foot MUST be UNDER 8 Months of Age.
The Exhibits will only be accepted from Brucellosis and Tuberculosis clean heard (status
monitored negative, tested negative or confirmed free) recognised by the D.P.I.
Cattle must not be introduced unless they are from a property or herd which Johne’s Disease
has not been known or suspected to exist within five years prior to introduction.
Any Exhibitors intending to bring Electrical Equipment to the Showgrounds are required to
ensure it is fitted with earth leakage circuit breakers and that all electrical leads, tools and
appliances have been inspected & tagged by a licensed electrical contractor. This is essential
for the safety of all exhibitors and the public; and is a requirement of the Workplace Health
& Safety Act 1989. The Act imposes severe penalties in the event of non-compliance with
its provisions. Any exhibitors who do not comply will not be allowed entry to Showgrounds.
ALL CATTLE HOUSED OVERNIGHT MUST HAVE NECK STRAP
All Animals over 4 Months must have Nose Grip or Ring. Bulls 1 year and Over must
have NOSE RING.
14. All Animals are to be tethered and led with lead rope attached to Nose Grip or Ring.
15. All Exhibits MUST be haltered at all times.
16. CLIPPING CRADLES OUTSIDE SHED ON NORTHERN END ONLY
17. Pressure Washers: NO “Gurneys” or Similar electrically driven pressure cleaners will be permitted.
18. All Stock MUST be FREE from Ticks. Tick infested cattle will not be allowed to compete
and must be removed from the Showgrounds.
Spraying Facilities are available at the Showgrounds with No charge to Exhibitors.
Exhibitors from Cattle Tick Free Areas Require their own completed Waybill and a (white)
multiple movement permit, issued by their local D.P.I. Stock Inspector to receive their free
Spraying. Exhibitors without a permit will be charged normal inspection fees and must have
spraying completed at an alternative dip area.

State Finals to be Judged at the R.N.A. 11th – 20th August 2012

Beef Cattle & Dairy Cattle Paraders’ Competition Rules
To be eligible for the State Finals, Competitors must comply with ALL Rules noted below. Paraders’
competitions are to determine the Parader who presents and parades an animal before a judge most
effectively.
1) Paraders will parade their animal in a clockwise manner as is normal in a cattle judging ring at the
discretion of the Judge.
2) Competitors must be over 15 and under 25 years of age on the 1st May in the year of the State Final
3) Competitors under 18 years of age must have approval of a parent or guardian to compete.
4) Competitors are to be a Queensland resident for three (3) months prior to competing, or be attending
an educational institution in Queensland unless they qualify under rule five (5) below.
5) Competitors residing interstate who can provide an affinity with a Queensland Show are allowed
entry provided they satisfy one (1) of the following criteria:
a) Their address has a Queensland postcode;
b) They have a Queensland phone number;
c) The competitor or their parents are active working members of that show.
6) National winners are ineligible to compete.
Procedure for local show level competition:
7) An entry form must be completed for all competitors
8) Different age classes may be added to program for judging.
9) Paraders must wear a white dust coat and not display any name or logo at the Stewards discretion.
10) Beef Cattle Paraders may lead a steer or heifer; or a Bull under 20 months. Dairy Cattle Paraders
may lead a DRY female under 36 months.
11) For safety reasons, Judges are not permitted to ask competitors in Young Parader Competitions to
swap animals.
12) Cattle are to be presented in their natural, clean state – No glitter is permissible on animal or Parader.
