Aiming for the Top
Scholarship
An Ontario Government program that
recognizes hard working students who earn
top marks. Winners may receive a tuition
scholarship worth up to a maximum of $3,
500 per year. The amount of your
scholarship will be determined based on the
information you provide about your financial
resources in your application. The minimum
scholarship that you can receive is $100.
Ontario Teachers
Insurance Plan
Bursary
For college or university bound students.
Parent/grandparent/legal guardian must be
insured through an individual or group
policy of an insurance plan or program
provided by OTIP
12 bursaries of
$1,500 each are
available to be
won.
PACE Bursary Awards
The applicant must be a member, child or
grandchild of a member of PACE.
The applicant must have applied to enter a
postsecondary college or university in the
very year in which the award is granted.
Award winners must enroll in the program
for which the award was requested.
Record of involvement/leadership in the
school and in the community.
Awards up to
$2000.00
Applicants must complete the 2011-2012
OSAP online web application for full time
students. To apply for the basic merit
amount of $100, applicants do NOT
need to complete the entire 2011-2012
application, but must fill out the Queen
Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top
Scholarship Application for the Basic
Merit Amount.

Criteria
Type of Award
Targeted for students entering the Motive Power
Techniques/Heavy Equipment Program full time
for the entrance year in January at Sir Sandford
Fleming College and in September at Centennial
College. Applicants must have achieved a 70%
or higher in their final year of high school. Upon
graduation applicants need to be willing to work
for Toromont CAT.
Applicants must be between the ages of 16 and
21 who are college or university bound in the Fall
2011. Requires the submission of answers to
two essay questions.

Applicants must have parents or grandparents
from the Grenadian, Carriacouan or Petit
Martinique community. College or university
bound, full time.

Memorial Scholarship
Must be the dependent child or spouse of a fulltime employee in an active AIA member
company in good standing. Applicants must be
enrolled in full time studies at the postsecondary
level, leading to a degree, certificate or diploma.

Applicant must have worked on diversity issues
(race and ethnicity, class, family, gender, age,
ability, regionalism or sexual orientation), college
or university bound.
Canadian Tamil Youth
Development Centre
Awards of Excellence
Applicants must be of Tamil descent, planning to
attend a postsecondary institution in September.
Bill 7 Award
To qualify for the Bill 7 Award, applicants must
identify themselves as part of the GLBT
community (gay, lesbian, trans, 2-spirited etc.);
be enrolled in or accepted by an Ontario postsecondary institution (including colleges, trade
apprenticeships, massage therapy schools,
universities and any other program that leads to
a certificate or degree); be in financial need; be
an Ontario resident.
