DAV Chapter 2 Great Falls “The Patriots Voice” March 2012 C-130Hs coming to Great Falls On February 3rd, Senator Jon Tester made a press release saying, “After two years worth of meetings and phone calls with the Pentagon and community leaders in Great Falls, we've secured an Air Force C-130H mission for MANG. The C-130H is a highly valued mission that requires significant operations and maintenance personnel. Our goal in securing this mission was to keep a flying mission for the Air Guard while maintaining our job strength. The C130H mission does both—in a way that fits our nation's military strategy and our state's homeland security needs. This move will strengthen our state and the city of Great Falls and it's an example of the community working hard together to achieve something big. I look forward to its arrival.” My question is, “why does Great Falls have to lose the F-15 mission? The loss of the F-15s will be a substantial loss of: income, revenue to the city, and a loss of personnel.” Write your congressman and tell them that you want the F-15s to remain in Great Falls, along with the addition of the C130Hs. commits funding to research on those illness and ailments specifically suffered by veterans of the Gulf War.
