Programme. This can be spent on GLP accredited training. GLADE is an accredited training provider and has

School-based /whole school CPD available at dates and times to suit you - 2014
Global Teachers Award Level 1 ; six hours taught course focusing on the
key concepts of global learning & practical ideas for incorporating into the
curriculum. Optional follow up 90 minute one-to-one tutorial to support
classroom practice and accreditation.
Supports teachers in developing the skills, confidence and practical
approaches to incorporate global learning into the 2014 curriculum, and to
promote active global citizenship in the classroom.

Cost: £150 credits pp
Course dates one a term; contact GLADE if your school would like to host
Critical and Reflective Learning in the curriculum; 2 hours plus optional
whole school assembly. Exploration of methodology and activities to
engage pupils in critical thinking and reflective learning through
everyday items from overseas countries.
Cost; £50 credits pp Price on application for whole school
Understanding Education and Development; 6 hours. Participants explore
the role of education in international development and relate this to
educational partnerships and the 2014 curriculum.
Cost; £100 credits pp, reductions possible for a school host
Child Rights and Global Citizenship; ½ day followed by 5 x 2hour
twilights. This course stimulates critical thinking about global issues at
whole school and curriculum/ learner level. The main themes include
Fair Trade/trade justice; Community Cohesion & Multicultural Britain
(SMSC); Sustainability; Measuring Attitudinal Change in Pupils and
Curriculum Planning set in the context of child rights and responsibilities.

In-school/whole school training available at dates and times to suit you - 2014
Active and Global Citizenship; 2 x 3hours
This course inspires and supports classroom practitioners (including
HLTAs) in the practical delivery of global learning within the curriculum.

using global learning /development education as an entry point through
literacy, numeracy and active citizenship.

Linking for Global Learning; 6 hours
Find out about the practicalities of running an educational school partnership & how to devise joint
curriculum projects and activities. For schools new to partnership working and for those with existing
partnerships, who would like to move forward in embedding global learning from their partnership in the
curriculum.

Schools may wish to join up with others to maximise GLP e-credits.
Curriculum Planning & Development; Bespoke training and mentoring for effective learning and compelling
learning in the 2014 curriculum. Course duration negotiable.
Curriculum development & innovation for up to 6 curriculum areas for secondary or primary teachers. This
training-based curriculum development will help bring reflective and global learning into the curriculum.
Provision includes course materials, training and follow up mentoring for curriculum development,
reasonable loan of GLADE Country Collections, Themed Collections or Global Topic Boxes to implement
delivery.
