2011 3rd Annual ‘Rock The Farm’ Concert/Farmers’ Market Series
The Anderson Farm Museum Heritage Society (AFMHS) was thrilled to be able to
offer this FREE musical experience once again plus our new Farmers’ Market at the
Anderson Farm Museum- as part of a new Partnership with: The City of Greater
Sudbury, Greater Sudbury Museums, KICX 91.7 FM, Market Square, Northern Ontario AgriFood Education & Marketing Inc., Hia Media and Lively District Secondary School.
Our FREE ‘Rock The Farm’ summer concerts took place outside the Stable, on 5
Wednesday evenings, from 6-8pm. It was very low key & relaxed. Everyone brought
their own chairs or blankets. Coordinated by Darryl Orser, AFMHS… we really ‘rocked’
the Farm- averaging 250 people per Concert + the occasional horse and numerous
dogs!

Our new ‘Rock The Farm’ Farmers’ Market took place in Centre Court from 4-8pm,
on the concert dates. It was an opportunity for people to come and shop at a new midweek market location for farmers/agri-producers, in Sudbury West.
People could buy produce/agri-products from: Just Ewe & My Kids at Rocky Acres
Farm, Herbert Fisheries, Sucrerie Seguin Sugarbush, The Perogy Princess, NOAFEM- Our
Garden, Johnson Twp Farmers’ Market and Leisure Farm.
Rollin’ Doggies was our snack food Vendor- providing a % of sales to the AFMHS.
Alek Luopa, Student LDSS created our outstanding PR Materials- printed by Hia Media!
KICX 91.7 Sudbury’s Hot New Country adopted the AFMHS providing $7,200 In-Kind
Advertising for ‘Rock the Farm’-which had a huge impact on expanding our Target Area
And Target Audience!
Note: In 2012 we will host 8 ‘Rock The Farm’ Concert/Farmers’ Markets- 4 in July
and 4 in August- sponsored once again by KICX 91.7FM
