Max Function: Displays the highest Value for a range of values
Division: Arithmetic operator that divides contents of a cell
Print Button: Displays the Print dialog box that is used to print the worksheet
Comma Style: Displays two digits to left of decimal point and places a comma
Trace Error Button: Displayed next to a cell in which a formula error occurs
Best Fit: The width of column will increase or decrease so the widest entry will fit
Average Function: Sums numbers then divides the number of values
Values Version: Version of a worksheet that allows you to see results of formulas
Debugging: The process of finding and correcting errors
Character: Any letter, number, symbol, or punctuation mark
Formula Version: Version of a worksheet that allows you to display the actual
formulas instead of values
Borders Button: Located on the ribbon and is used to display the borders gallery
Subtraction: Arithmetic operation that subtracts contents of cells
Pixel: Dot on the screen that contains color
Smart Tag: Identifies certain actions to take on specific data
Addition: Arithmetic operator that adds contents of cells
Floating Dollar Sign: Dollar sign that appears immediately to the left of the first
digit
Center Button: Button on the Ribbon used to center text in the cell
Condition: Made up of two values and a relational operator
Sheet Tab: Where each worksheet name appears
Percentage: Arithmetic operator that multiplies by 0.01
Arguments: The values that are used with a function
Range Finder: Used to find which cells are referenced in a formula
Normal View: Default view in Excel
Fill Handle: Small rectangle in lower right corner of cell that is used to copy cells
Equal Sign: Used to indicate the start of a formula
Theme: A predetermined set of colors, fonts, chart styles, cell styles, and fill
effects
Min Function: Displays the lowest value for a range of values
Exponentiation: Arithmetic operator that raise to the power
Functions: Excel provides prewritten formulas to help with calculations
Formula: Contains the numerical value of zero
Blank Cell: Can be assigned to a cell and will display calculated result
