Sheep require one injection of 2ml given under the skin. This can be given from 4 months of age.
Cattle require two injections of 2ml into the muscle at an interval of 4 weeks. This can be given from

mating. It is also not licensed for breeding males.
It should be kept refrigerated but allowed to come to room temperature before use.
Bottles must be used within four hours of opening.
There are no milk or meat withdrawals.

Summer midge and fly control
As part of your Schmallenberg control this year, we recommend that you use a fly control product that
controls midges, the vector of Schmallenberg virus.
We currently stock FLYPOR which is a pour on fly control product for cattle which gives 8 weeks protection
against nuisance and biting flies and 4-5 weeks control against midges.
FLYPOR also controls sucking and biting lice and sarcoptic and chorioptic mange so could also be used as a
housing dose for this purpose.
FLYPOR is suitable for dairy and beef cattle and has a 3 day meat withdrawal and a short 6 hour milk
withdrawal so no milk need be discarded after application to dairy cows. It can be used in calves over 1 week
old.
3 litres of FLYPOR costs £78.50 ex VAT and is enough to treat 75 adult cows.
