a final project report on Large Curbside Containers. Report writers
are encouraged to monitor and comment on the results of this

Discuss if you expanded your Blue Box program by adding new program materials at the
same time as providing new blue boxes. Provide details of which materials were added
Promotion
Discuss the promotion campaign; include information about:
 Describe how the new Blue Box was promoted
 Attach samples of P&E used (newsprint ads, flyer insert, hot stamp)
 Did you work cooperatively with other municipalities?
Method of Distribution
Describe how the Blue Boxes were delivered. Information to include:
 Did you deliver door-to-door, or hand-out to resident to pick-up
 Any issues with your method of delivery
 Who delivered the boxes, how were they chosen (did you use a competitive bid
process), how many bids were received, what was your per unit cost to delivery
 How long did it take to deliver the Blue Boxes
 Did the delivery go smoothly, any issues – describe
 What worked well, what would you do differently
Tonnage Results
Discuss what impact the new Blue Boxes have had on your program. Include:
 Tonnage and volume (if know) before and after
 Set out observations – did blue box set outs improve, e.g. less contamination,
improved two-streaming, etc.
 Depending on available data, use Table presentation of tonnage data, similar to
Table 2 or 3
