Itinerary:
DAY1
Good morning -> Transfer -> Lunch -> Tzu Chi University -> Ji'an Keishuin -> Ziqiang Night Market
Meal Plan: Lunch.
Accommodation: Parkview Hotel (花蓮美侖大飯店)
We will meet at the Taipei Main Station and transfer to Hualien by train, followed by a visit to Tzu Chi
University. Afterwards, we will move to Ji'an Keishuin. As the third-level historical site in Hualien, Ji'an
Keishuin was built during the period of Japanese-occupied, and served as a spiritual center for Japanese
immigrants. Next site is the Ziqiang Night Market, a must-go for tasting various local or foreign
delicacies, where you should never miss whenever visiting Hualien.
Ji'an Keishuin
Keishuin, a third-level historical site in Hualien, was built during the Japanese-occupied period, and
served not only as a spiritual center for Japanese immigrants but also a medical center, learning center,
and funeral home. The main building has a wooden structure with a Japanese-style four-pillar rooftop,
following the Japanese temple building tradition. The garden is lush, vibrant, and serene. It is a nice place
to experience the spirit of Zen.
Ziqiang Night Market
Hualien Ziqiang Night Market is the best place for tasting local food. Besides common food like rice
noodles, ramen, sushi, oyster omelet, steaks and so on, there are also juice, tea, coffee, bean curd, grass
jelly, and other tasty traditional desserts. You can also find stinky tofu, braised snacks, BBQ, Taiwanese
fried chicken, spring rolls, GuanCaiBan(coffin board), and other local delicacies, which are always great
choices for the midnight snack. Moreover, there are various exotic food waiting for you to try.

Sunrise over Qixingtang -> Breakfast -> Rafting in Xiuguluan River -> Lunch -> Shitiping -> Hot Springs &
Dinner

The sunrise of Qixintang is what you should never miss (if you can wake up early and make it), where the
crescent bay and clear blue waters of the Pacific Ocean will soothe your soul. Then you will transfer to
Xiuguluan River, where exciting and unforgettable rafting experience guaranteed. After lunch, Shitiping
is the following site with wonderful view and creatures. At night, you can enjoy the hot spring in the cozy
hotel.
Qixintang
Located on the northeast beach of Xincheng Town, Qixingtan is one of the most popular scenic spot in
Hualien. Besides the crescent bay and clear blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, the beach is full of colorful
agates that are appreciated by the locals and tourists. Due to its abundant natural beauty, multiple
scenic trails, beach pavilions, pagodas, and Star-Gazing Square, Qixingtan has become a well-known
tourist destination, particularly known for its remarkably blue sky and turquoise seas.

Xiuguluan River
There are torrential rapids, exciting shoals, and unexpected rocks, which make it the perfect place for
thrilling rafting trips. With 23 rapids along the 22 km waterway, it is a paradise for fun seekers. Exciting
and unforgettable experience are guaranteed. The Ruisui Rafting Center is located on the bank of
Xiuguluan River at the southern end of Ruisui Bridge, where the information for rafting is presented
inside. The building with a huge totem at the front resembles traditional aboriginal architecture style. On
the west side of the center is a camp ground with facilities for camping lovers.

Shitiping
Shitiping is famous for its terrific geographic feature. Its landscapes include the developed sea terrain,
wave-cut platforms, uplifted coral reefs, sea trenches and cliffs. The potholes, in particular, are one of
the Taiwan's Number one sites. Shitiping's coastal area is rich in coral reefs, tropical fish, intertidal zones
and tide pools from potholes. A variety of seaweed, fish, shellfish and other marine life dwell here.
Shitiping is a great place to observe intertidal ecology and an excellent place for diving. Stay here and
enjoy the sound of the waves on a starry night, you will definitely feel refreshed and relaxed. .

DAY3
Breakfast -> Taroko -> Lunch -> Hualien City -> Dinner -> Transfer -> Goodbye

Taroko, one of the most famous national parks in Taiwan. Famous for its spectacular mountains and
marble canyons, Taroko has also bred special flora and fauna in this area. Upon visiting Taroko, you will
be awed by the incredible beauty. After the quick visit to Taroko, we will get back to downtown, where
you can hang out around and go shopping for some souvenirs or local handicrafts. After dinner, you will
be on your way back to Taipei.
Taroko
Taroko has been one of the national park since 1986, the full area including Hualien County, Nantou
County and Taichung City. Taroko is famous for its spectacular mountains and marble canyons. Cliffs and
canyons stretch along Li Wu River. Four million years ago, the island of Taiwan was formed by the
collision of plates. After millions of years of wind erosion, the marble rocks were exposed and cut by Li
Wu River, creating impressive grand canyons. From Tsing Shui to Nan Hu Peak, the drop height is 3,742
meters.
