Read and follow through the trainee handout to discuss the training agenda for the day. Explain to them that the Invigorating Facial is a fast, stimulating, light exfoliating treatment for the skin. Massage her neck with an Aroma Stress Therapy Lotion for 15 seconds. 5. Eye Makeup Removal/Eye Cleanse Remove any eye makeup with an eye makeup remover. 6. Lip Therapy Use a wet disposable mascara wand to exfoliate the lips. Once you are finished exfoliating the lip area, apply a lip balm. 20-25 minutes 25-30 minutes 30-35 minutes 35-40 minutes Greet the client in a friendly and professional manner and have them take a seat. Tell your client about the benefits of this service and inquire if she has any specific concerns. This will allow you to introduce her to the different products she should use when doing the facial at home to target her specific concerns and help improve and maintain her skin. Gently massage down the sides of her neck, not on the spine, with an Aroma Stress Therapy Lotion for 15 seconds. The goal is to relax your client and ensure that her treatment is an enjoyable experience so that she comes back to you on a regular basis. Therefore, the shoulder/neck massage is extremely important. Gently cleanse the delicate eye area to remove any eye makeup and impurities. Gently brush over their lips with the mascara wand to exfoliate, stimulate and soften the lip area. When finished exfoliating the lips, apply a lip balm on and around lip area to moisturize, heal and soothe the lips during the treatment. 7. Cleanse Use a face cleanser to cleanse the skin. 40-45 minutes 8. Scrub 9. Remove Scrub Exfoliate the skin with a scrub for 10 minutes. 45-55 minutes Remove scrub. 55-60 minutes Have your clients close her eyes. Using a face cleanser, dot the face with the cleanser, and then begin massaging at the chin and jaw line, working over the face and throat and gently massage around mouth using middle fingers, beginning at the chin and moving around to just below the nose. Massage down the nose, in small circular motions, around the sides of the nose to the cheek area. For the delicate eye area, gently massage in a circular motion beginning at the outer corner under the eye towards the inner corner, and above the eye area, back to the outer corner. Massage cleanser into forehead using upward and outward strokes. Do not massage directly on upper eye lids or lower lash area. Begin removing cleanser with facial sponges. Place two cleansing sponges into a bowl and add enough hot water to cover the sponge completely. Squeeze out sponges, making sure no water drips on your client. Use sponges in an upward and outward motion to remove all cleanser. Pat the clients face dry with face towel. Using your fingertips on dry skin, gently massage in small circular upward and outward motions for 10 minutes to gently exfoliate all dead surface skin cells. Avoid eye area. Gently remove scrub with facial sponges dipped in hot water until face is scrub free and pat dry with face towel. 10. Mask Treatment Apply the face mask for 15 minutes. 60-80 minutes 11. An e-learning course would allow Salon owners to train large number of Estheticians at the same time. It will help them cut back on costs spent facilitating a traditional learning session (eg. renting out a room, paying a trainer to facilitate the training, etc). I would use the platform www.coursesites.com to convert this learning session into an e-learning course. I would create a video demonstration of the Invigorating Facial with a transcript for Estheticians to watch and learn. I would also include a test/quiz at the end of the course to test their knowledge learned. I would use www.coursesites.com because it is a free, very simple and easy to use platform to create e-learning courses. This e-learning course would be beneficial for trainees as well because it would allow them to complete the course anywhere at any time. They can watch it several times if need be. They can also go back and watch it when they need a refresher. Converting this traditional lesson plan into an e-learning course would be beneficial for both Salon owners/trainers and trainees.
