ANX_10_RF – Field notes EU XFEL Build #1 R4 11/13/14 Dale Miller 3.3 In-situ baking At the end of the in-situ baking all volumes of the coupler assembly must present a vacuum level of 10-7 mbar (7.5E-8 Torr) or less at the end of the baking while the temperature in the oven is still 130°C. Warm-in CPC Warm-out 11/4/14 11/4/14 11/4/14 11:45 11:45 11:45 8.1E-8 Torr 8.0 E-7 Torr 7.9E-8 Torr First measurement by the RGA after in-situ baking must present H 2 as the major component. Second in quantity should be CO+ (~20% less than H 2 ). H 2 O+ should be of the order of 50 times less than H 2 . No atomic mass above 50 should be within 100 times lower than the measure quantity of H 2 . Vacuum level during this measurement must be 5.10-9 mbar ( 3.7-9 Torr ) or less. The RGA measurement is applied to all three volumes separately. Vacuum level during this measurement must be 5.10-9 mbar or less (eq. N2). The measurement is performed as close as possible to the pumping port, with an ionic pump starcell VacIon Plus 20 (20 l/s).The quadrupole mass analyser must allow the measurement of up to 200 100 amu (atomic mass unit) with a good sensibility (using a channeltron amplifier). 3.5 Vacuum level At the end of the conditioning procedure all three volumes of the coupler pair assembly must present a vacuum level of 1.10-7 mbar (7.5E-8 Torr) or less. In case this limit is not achieved refer to §3.6. ********************** RGA procedure 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
