 Spelling Words (Complete Both Activities- 5 Points Each)
o Definitions
 Write the words and their definitions- remember to include the part of speech!
o Cursive Spelling
 Write your spelling words five times neatly in cursive
 Greek/Latin Root Words (Complete the Activity- 10 Points)
o Flash Cards
 For each vocabulary word take an index card and write the word in large letters
on the front, and on the back write the definition and/or a sentence showing
your understanding of the word.
 Academic Vocabulary Words (Complete the Activity- 10 points)
o Write a Story
 Write a creative or informational story using all of the words correctly. The story
must make sense!
 Writing(Complete One Summary- 10 Points)
o Re-Read one of the following articles and write a well-written and organized summary
paragraph:
 “John Hancock”
