MEMBERS OF THE PRIVILEGED CLASSES: THE QUEEN OF MEAN AND THE HUMAN WRECKING BALL
(The “Members of the Privileged Classes” series has been created in order to help the Reader
understand the psychology of the few. In general, they are egocentric; dependent; immoral; pseudoreligious; unethical; extremist, arrogant, insecure, acutely left or acutely right on the
political/economic/social spectrum of social values; parasitic; racist; misogynistic; elitist; insulated;
uncaring; powerful; wealthy; indifferent to the “pain and suffering” of others [especially, of those who
not of their social class]; and, above the laws/rules/principles which apply to others [especially, to those
who not of their social class].
The “privileged” classes socially engineer their achievement of successes in life through their wealth,
power, and social position. They actual believe that they are superior to others even though their
“accomplishments” are a function of “cheating in the game” of life, generally. And, they are especially
fearful of real-life competition [in any form] because they view material “failure” as the very
definition/fate of the genetically inferior other.
Historically, they are “existence-feeders.” That is, they feed upon the existence of others in order to
function in life. And, unfortunately, they are always replaced, happily and eagerly, by those who worship
the same god of materiality and by those who emulate their same processes of “greed”, “fear”, and
“predacity.”
Currently, the American and International few are attempting to establish yet another global “oligarchy”
in which the American and the global many must serve, worship, and obey or else they will be sent, as
punishment, to places like the Mao/Stalin/Hitler/Kim-sung-like “death camps” of the Second World War
[1939-1945] and thereafter.

This first e-article [of “Members of the Privileged Classes”] will focus upon the late Leona Mindy Roberts
“the Queen of Mean” Helmsley [1920-2007] and upon the existent Samuel “Sam, the Human Wrecking
Ball” Zell.
Helmsley and Zell have been chosen because they are “Americans” who believe that the “American
representative democracy” should be an “oligarchy” in which they and their like can rule despite the
inconvenience of the current amended, U.S. Constitution and despite the reality of the existence of over
317 million American citizens [and counting] who happen to live in their imagined “Kingdom of the
‘Oligarchs.’”)
The “Queen of Mean” or the “Queen of the Palace Hotel” was born “Lena Mindy Rosenthal” of lowermiddle class parents (born of Polish Jewish immigrants: Morris and Ida [nee Popkin] Rosenthal) in
Marbletown, New York.
A high school drop-out, the “Queen of Mean” or “QOM” was determined to create her own “American
dream.” She changed her name several times (e.g. Lee Roberts, Mindy Roberts, Leni Roberts, etc.)
before deciding on the name of “Leona Mindy Roberts” (which eventual became her legal name)
because of her misplaced and continued “shame” relative to her Jewish ancestry as well as her “lowermiddle class” beginnings.
The “QOM” was both a successful hotelier and a successful real estate investor. Her businesses were
promoted by the “Beber Silverstein Group” which created numerous advertising campaigns for her
companies. Joyce Beber (1929-2010) was integral to many of the “QOM’s” business achievements
through her creative and focused “branding” techniques.
And, Joyce Beber is credited with convincing the “QOM” to use an additional tag line: the “Queen of the
Palace Hotel.”
(The “QOM” hired and fired the “Beber” team at least four times. This treatment of “Beber” was the
typical “flamboyant and authoritarian” style of this self-made “oligarch”: that is, at the time of her
death her family “trust” was rumored to be worth over 4 billion USDS.)
The “QOM” was divorced three times [She divorced her second husband, Joseph Lubin, twice.], and she
outlived her third husband, Harry Helmsley, by 15 years.
Despite the “QOM’s” great personal wealth, she was legendary for her cheapness and for disputing the
invoices of her contractors and vendors. “Following allegations by unpaid contractors that work done
on her home had been charged to her company”, she was prosecuted (1988) and convicted (1989) of tax
invasion by, then, U.S. Attorney Rudolph William Louis “Rudy, I saved New York after 9/11” Giuliani.
Parenthetically, the “QOM” had owned real estate property in Fort Lee, N.J. which, at this point in time,
is the subject of a state and a federal investigation of Chris Christie’s alleged “abuse of power” in the socalled, “Bridgegate” affair. And, not unexpectedly, Giuliani is “advising” and “supporting” this soon to be
indicted Governor of New Jersey for multiple allegations which include the misdirection of federal funds
in the Sandy and in the “Trans Hudson Express ARC Tunnel” projects (See e-article “131” on this website
for more information concerning the incredibly arrogant, “Bully from New Jersey.”).
Finally, the “QOM” passed from “congested heart failure” on August 20, 2007. Apparently, this disease
was an issue in her family: thus, it claimed the lives of her father, son, and sister.
The elitist “We don’t pay taxes. Only the little people pay taxes” Helmsley was “entombed” next to her
third husband, Harry, in Westchester County, New York.
And, Helmsley’s “Last Will and Testament”, not surprisingly, was the subject of extensive ligation among
her surviving family members (the legal conflicts relative to her will continued into 2008).
Samuel “Sam, the Human Wrecking Ball” Zell was born in Chicago, IL on September 27, 1941. His
parents, Rochelle and Berek Zielonka, were Polish Jewish immigrants who came to the United States in
1939. Thus, Zell social status beginnings were of the lower-middle class.
The “Human Wrecking Ball” (“HWB”) received his “Bachelor of Arts” (BA) from the University of
Michigan in 1963. And, he received his “Juris Doctor” (JD) from the University of Michigan Law Scholl in
1966. Shamefully, he avoided military service during the American Vietnam War (1955-1975).
Currently, he is the chairperson of “Equity Group Investments” (EGI). And, his “net worth” is well over 4
billion USDS (as of 2013).
(EGI is a private investment firm which the “HWB” founded in the 1960’s. Its business model
emphasizes “asset-intensive” industries “such as real estate, energy, logistics, transportation, media,
and healthcare.” Its holdings include fixed-income investments in private and public companies. Still,
the firm’s philosophy has always emphasized “opportunistic”, long-term investing and an active
ownership style to the point of being “overbearing” and “contrarian.”)
Some of the “HWB’s” companies are “Equity Residential” (EQR), “Equity LifeStyle Properties” (ELS),
“Covanta Holding Corporation” (CVA), and “Anixter” (AXE).
In 2008, Angeleno Harold Meyerson, a veteran Los Angeles-based editor and columnist for the
“Washington Post”, severely criticized individuals (in a newspaper article) for their “disregard and
avarice” relative to “beloved public institutions.” Specifically, he indicated that “carpetbaggers” (like
Zell) who came to the “West Coast” to “profit by cannibalization” of revered, Los Angeles’s institutions
like the “L. A. Times” newspaper.
And, Meyerson coined the term, the “Human Wrecking Ball”, in referring to Zell and his “questionable”
and “autocratic”, business practices.
“HWB” has been married three times, and he has been divorced twice. His current wife is Helen Zell.
Finally, the “HWB” recently stated, publically, that his personal wealth should entitle him to more than
one vote under the “American democratic political system”: that is, disregard the U.S. Constitutional
principle of “one person one vote.”
Apparently, Meyerson’s criticism of Zell was not severe enough.
Does not Zell realize that “oligarchies” attempt to prevent “lower-middle class, Jewish sons of
immigrants” from becoming self-made capitalists?
Post Script: (The Orange Revolution [2004-2005] and the Orange “Redux” Revolution [2013-2014] of
the Ukraine)
(“Colour revolution” is a term which is utilized to describe related, social justice movements that formed
in a number of nations such as the former “Union of Soviet Socialist Republics” [USSR] and the “Balkans”
during the “early” 2000’s.
Through the use of such methods as “demonstrations, strikes, and interventions”, “colour revolution”
participants generate protests against governments which are seen as corrupt and/or as authoritarian
and which may favor the establishment of more democratic political systems. Also, they are notable for
their development of “non-government organizations” [NGOs] of “student activists” in the process of
non-violent [hopefully], social change. Generally, these movements adopt a specific “flower” [e.g.
“Rose” Revolution: Georgia, 2003] or “color” [e.g. “Orange” Revolution: Ukraine, 2004] as their symbol
for “civil” and “nonviolent” resistance in their processes of attempted, social change.
For the purpose of this “Post Script”, the “Orange Revolution of the Ukraine” has been chosen as an
example of such a movement. The objective of the “Orange” is to achieve increased independence from
the “Russian Federation” of Vladimir Vladimirovich “the He-man” Putin (See e-article “120” on this
website for more information concerning the “Bully of the Pussy Riot” performance group.).
Nota bene:
On February 19, 2014, Putin’s “Cossacks” punched and flogged a group of young, female protesters of
the “Pussy Riot” performance group (along with some foreign “news” journalists) in Sochi, Russia. An
angry, music video of the “Pussy Riot”, along with its beatings/loggings, was released to the internet on
February 20, 2014. It was entitled, caustically, “Putin Will Teach You to Love Your Country.”
(The “Cossacks” are a group of principally East Slavic people located in the Ukraine and in Sothern
Russia. By the end of the 18th century, the “Cossacks” nations had been transformed into a “military
class” or “Sosloviye” of people serving the Russian Empire [1721-1917]. Because of their military
tradition, the “Cossack” nations played a vital role in the Russian wars of the 18th, 19th, and 20th
centuries. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, a number of “Cossack” people returned,
systematically, to the “new” Ukraine nation.
Today, the “Cossacks” are recognized as an “ethnicity” [a social group of people “who identify with each
other based on common ancestral, social, cultural, or national experiences] with a number of nations
and/or organizations, globally.)
Based upon the “Cossack” history of “freedom, democratic self-rule, and independence”, the beating of
defenseless, young, Russian women are actions which would have “insulted” and “disgraced” such
fierce “Cossack” leader-warriors as Stepan [Sten’ka] Timofreyevich Razin [1630-1671], Kondraty Balavin
[unknown], Ivan Stepanovych Mazepa [1639-1709], and Yemelyan Ivanovich Pugachev [1742-1775].
Poor, poor Tsarist Putin: does he not realize the “profound stupidity” of his actions towards these
Russian, brave, young, female, balaclava-helmeted” activists?
Probably not! No wonder the end is in sight for this Tsarist Russian: this bare-chested, horse riding,
cowardly, women beating, always “in the rear” (in battle) leader of some of his present-day, craven
“Cossacks.”
Unfortunately for Putin, the Ukrainians of the “Orange” are another breed of “Cossack-fighter” entirely!
The “Orange revolution of the Ukraine” started on November 22, 2004.
Originally, the “Orange” was viewed as a series of “protests” and other political events which occurred
from November 22, 2004 to January 23, 2005.
In truth, the movement continues until the present-day (See below: the Orange “Redux.”).
(The Ukrainian presidential election of 2004 was held on October31, November 21, and December26,
2004. The presidential candidates were Viktor Andriyovych Yushchemko of the “Power of Peoples’”
party and Viktor Feddorovych Yanukovych of the “Party of Regions.”
This election was the fourth presidential election to occur in the Ukraine following the “Act of
Declaration of Independence of Ukraine” [August 24, 1991].
[This Act established the Ukraine as an independent state, and it separated itself from the former USSR.]
The election results of November 21 were contested due to “massive corruption, voter intimidation, and
direct, electoral fraud.” The “Orange” conducted a campaign of “civil resistance”, daily, in Kiev, the
capital of Ukraine, with thousands of protesters demonstrating. Nationwide, the “Orange” conducted a
series of acts of “civil disobedience, sit-ins, and general strikes.” The result of these actions was that the
first run-off election was annulled. And, the second run-off election was declared “fair and free” in
which Yushchemko won a clear victory over Yanukovych, 52 to 44 percent.)
[In the 2010 presidential election, Yanukovych succeeded Yushchemko as Ukrainian president.]
The “Orange Redux” or “Euromaidan” began on November 21, 2013 with public protests demanding
closer economic and social ties with the European Union (EU): that is, increasing independence from
Putin’s “Russian Federation.” Since that time, the scope of this Orange “Redux” has evolved into the
demand that Yanukovych and his criminal government should resign.
(After the Ukrainian government suspended preparations for signing an “Association Agreement” and a
“Free Trade Agreement” with the EU in favor of having closer ties with Russian [purchased for 50 billion
USDS in loans], protests erupted in Kiev, Ukraine in November of 2013.)
With hundreds of Ukrainians killed or injured as well as millions of dollars in property damage, the
“oligarchic”/authoritarian/gangster government of Yanukovych collapsed with members of the
president’s party defecting and/or fleeing in late February of 2014.
Because of this self-elimination of the president’s party members, the opposition became the “majority”
in the Ukraine parliament: and, a series of laws were passed which “removed police from Kiev, canceled
anti-protest operations, restored the 2004 constitution, freed political detainees, and impeached” the
president, Yanukovych, who possibly fled to Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city.
Finally, the parliament has assigned early elections for May 2014, and the deposed, Yanukovych, in his
“profound stupidity” [and because he was Putin’s economic “puppet”], has refused to recognize the
parliament’s recent, legislative actions. Presently, this vassal of Putin is running from a legislative
warrant for his actions of alleged “mass murder” against the citizens and the nation of the Ukraine.
Now, what is a Russian “He-man” to do?!
“Believe it or not”, these protesting Ukrainians of the “Orange” and the Orange “Redux” are
democratically, “Pussy Riot” tough!
What should be the colour of a coming American revolution for the “casting out” of the American few
and their obedient “familiars?” Please try the tri-color of red, white, and blue which some of the soldiers
of the American Revolutionary War (1975-1983) utilized [i.e. in their unit flags] in their historic conflict
against the “oligarchic” nation of England.
(Robert G. Heft [1941-2009] was the designer of the current U.S. 50-star flag. He was 17 years-old at the
time. The flags of the American Revolutionary War were many. Several of them applied the tri-color of
red, white, and blue: for example, the “Cowpens” flag; the “Betsy Ross” flag; the “Easton” flag; the
“Guilford Courthouse” flag; and, the “Sarapis” flag.)
And, it is told by the American many that the revolutionary soldiers were democratically, “Pussy Riot”
tough! And, it is said that “orange”, then and now, was one of the favorite colours of the American
many.
To hell with the “oligarchs” (the American, the Chinese, the German, the North Korean, the Russian, and
the Ukrainian few) and their “familiars” (Mao; Stalin; Hitler; the Kim-sung family; Helmsley; Beber;
Giuliani; Christie; Zell; Putin’s Tsardom; Putin’s “Russian Federation and “Cossacks”; Yanukovych and his
pro-Putin policies; Yanukovych’s “Party of Regions”; England [1775-1783]; and, all those who are not
“Pussy Riot” tough enough when it comes to the freedoms and to the civil rights of the International and
American many),
