Dear Coach,
The NCCCA Scholarship Committee will begin to accept applications for scholarships in March of 2014.
We award scholarships based on the number of applicants and the funds made available by the
participation in the NCCCA Cheerleading Championship.
Criteria for consideration are as follows:
1. The coach must be a current member of the NCCCA
2. The cheerleader must be a senior and cheer for an athletic team at their high school for one full
athletic season
3. The cheerleader must meet NCHSSA eligibility
4. The cheerleader must have plans to attend college
5. The cheerleader must have at least a 3.5 unweighted GPA
Once the above criteria is verified, the cheerleader should fill out the enclosed application. He/She
should include the following in the application packet:
 Official sealed transcript signed by a school counselor
 2 letters of recommendation. One should be submitted by the cheer coach
 $5.00 application fee
(Transcript should also include SAT score. If this is not available, a copy of the students’ scores should
be submitted)
Please take the time to evaluate the seniors on your squad. If they meet the criteria set forth by the
scholarship committee, notify them of the scholarships given by the NCCCA and encourage them to
apply.
If you are not a member of the NCCCA, go to www.nccheer.com for information. Membership runs
from July 1 – June 30 each school year.
Scholarship deadline is March 28 2014.
